But how do police investigate families and friends while also supporting them at the worst time in their lives? The police have specially trained experts called Family Liaison Officers (FLOs). It’s their job to step inside homes and families with a difficult brief – support families and investigate them at the same time.  This series unravels shocking murder cases and how they were solved through the eyes and the expertise of the FLO who was there throughout.
