Overview

Presenter Jules Hudson takes an exuberant look at the airfields of Great Britain.  In each episode Jules will journey to a British airfield and uncover the stories of it’s past by talking to aviation experts and people that have worked on the base. Jules also fearlessly takes to the skies to perform some daredevil manoeuvres of his own – with a little help from the professionals. Jules Hudson

Best known as the presenter of ʻCountryfileʼ, ʻBritainʼs Heritage Heroesʼ and ‘Escape to the Countryʼ, Jules Hudson started his career as a Field Archaeologist before making the switch to TV production in 1996. Jules’ passion for history dates back to childhood when he spent his summers nosing around local airfields. Jules’ love for military history makes him the perfect choice to present ‘Defenders of the Sky’.
